The countdown is officially on. In just a matter of days, the quiet precision of the global scaffolding industry is going to get loud. Very loud.
On June 5–6, 2026, the absolute elite of the scaffolding world will descend upon Vilnius, Lithuania, for ScaffChamp 2026 powered by Layher. Twenty world-class crews from every corner of the map—including Canada, Mongolia, Peru, and Germany—are stepping into the arena.
And representing the United Kingdom? Your very own AK Scaffolding Ltd.
The Fire from 2025: Why 12th Was Just the Beginning
To understand why this year matters so much, you have to look back at last year’s tournament. Out of a brutal international field of the most ruthlessly efficient crews on earth, AK Scaffolding fought hard to secure 12th place in the world.
For a lot of companies, finishing 12th globally is a lifetime achievement. For us? It was a massive learning experience and the ultimate fuel for the fire. We proved we belong on the world stage. We proved that UK scaffolders can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the giants.
But we didn’t fly back across the English Channel satisfied. We flew back with a blueprint of exactly what it takes to break into the top tier. Since then, we’ve been refining our speed, sharpening our teamwork, and dialling in our precision.
What is ScaffChamp? (Hint: It’s Not Just Your Average Day on Site)
If you’ve never tuned into a ScaffChamp live stream before, erase any image you have of a standard construction site. This is a high-octane, elite sporting event.
The premise is straightforward but intensely gruelling: teams are given a highly complex, heavy-duty Layher scaffolding design. Against the clock—and under the watchful eyes of a strict international referee panel—they have to build and dismantle the structure.

It requires a flawless mix of:
Blistering Speed: Every second saved on a wedge or a ledger counts.
Absolute Safety: ScaffChamp enforces flawless safety protocols. A single safety infringement or loose component means point deductions that can ruin a podium run.
Telepathic Teamwork: Each team is strictly limited to 1 Captain and 5 Scaffolders. If all six individuals aren’t moving like parts of a single machine, the clock will eat them alive.
Standing Tall for the UK
This isn’t just about AK Scaffolding Ltd; it’s about showcasing the sheer quality of British trade craft. The standard of training, safety compliance, and grit in the UK industry is world-class, and our boys are heading to Lithuania to prove it.
We’re matching up against reigning champions and powerhouse crews, but the atmosphere at ScaffChamp is unique. It’s a melting pot of cultures, shared experiences, and mutual respect among a global community of #scaffoldingheroes. We are incredibly proud to fly the Union Jack in that arena.
How to Support the Boys
