AK Scaffolding, led by Aaron King, is set to proudly represent the United Kingdom at the highly anticipated 2026 Scaffold Builders’ Competition in Las Vegas. This prestigious event, a highlight of the annual World of Concrete Expo, marks a significant step onto the global stage for the British team.

The competition is organized by the Scaffold & Access Industry Association (SAIA) and is generously sponsored by Layher, one of the world’s leading scaffolding manufacturers. It is widely recognized as the industry’s foremost global contest, drawing top talent from around the world.

The challenge is intense: competing teams must not only race against the clock but also demonstrate absolute mastery over their craft. They are tasked with the rapid, safe construction and subsequent dismantling of intricate and complex scaffold structures within stringent time limits. Teams are meticulously judged on three core pillars: safety compliance, structural accuracy, and teamwork efficiency.

AK Scaffolding is no stranger to international competition, having earned significant global attention earlier this year after a standout performance at ScaffChamp in Lithuania. Their success there paved the way for this next, even larger challenge in the United States. By competing in Las Vegas, AK Scaffolding will highlight the exceptional skill, dedication to safety, and competitive spirit of the UK scaffolding industry for a worldwide audience.
